GETTING TO ENGLAND
For countries located close to England you can travel by car, train and ferry. Participants from all other countries are advised to fly into Manchester Airport or Birmingham Airport and then take the train to Preston. Both these airports have direct train services to Preston on a regular basis. Other airports are available but do not have the direct train service.
At the moment the best type of train ticket is an "Anytime Return" which gives you the flexibility to return on any train within one month. Manchester Airport to Preston Train station return ticket is approx £30.
From Preston train station we will pick you up between 12 noon and 4 pm on Saturday afternoon and make arrangements for your return to Preston the following week but you need to tell us your train times. One of the team (in a green IFYE 2020 t-shirt) will be here to meet you.
Outside of these times will be by prior arrangement or use the bus (40/41) from Preston Bus Station to Bilsborrow. It is about a 15 min walk to Preston bus station and another 10 minute walk from Bilsborrow to Myerscough - return ticket is approx £10 and you can pay the driver with contact less card.
Please use the form below to send us your travel details so we can organise pick ups or send us an email with the information to email@example.com. You can include several people on one form.
We assume that the majority of people will be flying into Manchester Airport or Birmingham Airport so will be arriving at Preston Train station. We will be running a shuttle service from there to the venue on the Saturday afternoon.
If you are arriving outside these times please let us know your plans so we can advise you or make arrangements for your collection.
